Electrical Engineer - Energy Infrastructure

We are currently hiring an Electrical Engineer in our Building Engineering Division Energy Infrastructure team in our Buffalo, NY office.

LaBella’s Energy Infrastructure team provides comprehensive energy efficiency and renewable energy consultancy, including feasibility analyses and design.

Our engineers are well-versed in all aspects of building and energy systems design relating to a variety of new construction, renovations, and design / build projects for a variety of clientele.

The Electrical Engineer will work with our team in a lead role on a variety of decarbonization / electrification / renewable energy projects to develop projects in feasibility stages all the way through design and construction.

A successful candidate will be able to work well in a team, mentor junior engineers, and communicate effectively with clients.

Duties

  • Design building electrical systems
  • Design photovoltaic, battery storage systems, and grid interconnection
  • Field investigations to document existing conditions
  • Interact directly with clients by completing analysis of design options, cost benefit comparisons, and communicating results to assist in decision making process.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and utility requirements

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
  • Well-rounded experience in building electrical system and / or distributed energy system design
  • Experience with Revit or AutoCAD
  • New York State Professional Engineer’s license is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary Range : $70,000 - $120,000 per year

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
