Position Description

As a Network Engineer II, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Cisco networking solutions to support the PT organization's business needs.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a robust and secure network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Design : Design, plan, and implement Cisco-based network solutions to meet business requirementsDevelop and maintain network architecture documentation
  • Installation and Configuration : Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, Wireless Controller, and other networking devicesImplement and manage network protocols, such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRPConfigure and maintain VLANs, VPNs, and other network security features
  • Network Monitoring and Optimization : Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize performanceConduct regular network assessments to ensure scalability and reliability
  • Security Implementation : Implement and maintain security measures to protect the network infrastructureImplement and enforce network access control policies
  • Troubleshooting and Support : Respond to and resolve network-related incidents and service requestsCollaborate with internal and external support teams to troubleshoot and resolve network issuesProvide on-call support as needed
  • Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with other IT teams and departments to understand business requirementsCommunicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and gather requirements
  • Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentationCreate and update standard operating procedures for network-related tasks

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco technologies
  • Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE preferred
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Cisco-based network solutions
  • Strong understanding of TCP / IP, routing, switching, and subnetting
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
