Job Summary :
As the Emerging Revenue Director, you will spearhead the development and growth of new subscriber and consumer revenue streams at the Minnesota Star Tribune.
Working collaboratively across sales, marketing, product, brand marketing, and the newsroom, you will lead the ideation, development, and launch of innovative consumer products.
You will be responsible for managing the profit and loss (P&L) of new subscriber and consumer growth channels, ensuring financial viability in partnership with the finance team.
Your role will focus on expanding subscriber bases and audiences for new products through strategic consumer marketing initiatives to maximize return on investment and lifetime value.
Additionally, you will actively seek out opportunities for consumer revenue growth, exploring new revenue streams in collaboration with the broader team.
You Will :
- Vet, develop and stand-up new subscriber and consumer revenue lines
- Work cross-functionally across sales and marketing, product, brand marketing and the newsroom to develop new consumer products
- Own the P&Ls of new subscriber or consumer growth channels, working with finance to ensure the initiatives are financially solvent
- Grow subscribers and audiences of new products, leveraging consumer marketing to maximize ROI and LTV
- Seek out opportunities for consumer revenue growth, working with the broader team to explore new revenue streams
You Have :
- 5+ years of experience building subscriber or membership businesses
- Proven track record of developing new revenue lines
- Cross-functional leader that is a strong collaborator and communicator
- Innovative and creative self-starter
- Experience working with B2B products
- Partnership experience a plus
