Your future team :

The position reports directly to the Direct, Product Management & Strategy and has no direct reports. You will be working closely with the members of Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Technical, Operations, Supply Chain, & finance teams.

What you will be doing :

The Market Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for market research and intelligence; gathering, tracking and interpreting market information, reporting and supporting strategic initiatives across both Marketing and Sales organizations.

You will support the evaluation of new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to expand our North American footprint as well as ensure that the strategy process and strategic decisions are supported by insights and data.

Support strategic decision-making by providing insights and inputs on opportunities and challenges.

Run marketing intelligence operations including monthly reporting including market & competitive performance dashboards.

Support strategy and strategic initiative presentations for internal executive audiences

Market Analysis and Insight

Compile, monitor and analyse construction and insulation markets, and relevant economic data, news, developments and trends;

Generate insight and understand potential impact on ROCKWOOL market position

Set up and manage internal intelligence and knowledge sharing processes and reports

Keep track of competitors’ results, movements and news

Undertake ad-hoc analysis and research market size and position

Assess and track insulation market size, with detailed segmentation and forecasts

Determine Rockwool share in market segments and opportunities

Manage internal MSA tool (NA) in conjunction with ROCKWOOL Group

Work in conjunction with the Product Management Team to :

Provide information on key market sectors / segments to enable the product team to make strategic decisions based on market intelligence

Assist product rationalisation and analysis to determine whether existing products meet the needs of the target market sectors

Support development and implementation of segment strategies through research and analysis supporting the Growth Strategy Manager, and Product Managers

Co-ordinate primary research, liaising with internal stakeholders and external companies to commission, design and deliver research projects

Liaise with other NA OPCOs (ie. Rockfon, Technical Insulation) where relevant.

Support marketing and management team with analysis and presentations.

What you bring :

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working in market insights, finance or data-based consulting

Business or Economics Degree (master’s degree an asset)

Experience within the building materials or construction market

Good organizational and analytical skills

Good written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail

Able to communicate complex subject matter in a clear and concise manner

Experience with data visualization tools such as tableau or power bi

Experienced and highly skilled proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking and trouble shooting skills

Experience working with business systems : SAP is preferred

Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment
