As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will promote, protect, and help restore worker’s physical and mental health by establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
You will manage all workers compensation claims to provide for timely resolution of each claim, return the worker to gainful employment and minimize the worker's comp costs.
YOUR IMPACT
Medically manage workers compensation claims and assist leave administration programs as needed.
Owner of medical surveillance testing needs and work with local medical community to establish testing protocols and practices.
Support HR with attorney and legal needs on workers compensation claim management.
Support safety and management teams with transitional work program.
Direct on-site physical therapy program and utilize program to support ergonomic risk reduction efforts.
Lead First-aid teams, conduct first-aid training and manage first-aid program.
Administer DOT random drug testing program.
Maintain OSHA 300 log and any other reports necessary to meet governmental compliance.
Support divisional health wellness program including training and coordinating events.
Maintain OSHA compliance programs such as hearing conservation, blood borne pathogens, pulmonary function testing, etc.
EAP coordinator and manage substance abuse for the company.
Responsible for other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate or Bachelors degree in Nursing, with RN license
Utah RN license
3-plus years experience as an RN.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
Experience as an Occupational Nurse in a manufacturing environment
Knowledgeable of state worker compensation laws and health & safety regulations
Professional communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
