What you will be doing : You’ll be responsible for responsible for assisting the cooks in preparation of students meals in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential functions :
- Provide an adequate supply of food and transfer necessary ingredients to the cooking area.
- Prepare vegetables, salads, meats, bread and desserts as instructed and routinely set forth in an appetizing, eye-appealing meal
- Serve all meals when scheduled with a pleasant demeanor and clean-up after service.
- Maintain kitchen equipment in orderly workable condition, and ensure the work area is safe, clean, and sanitary at all times.
- Promote and support positive customer service through the facility.
Education and Experience Requirements :
- Six (6) months of food service experience as a food handler or completion of culinary training program.
- Must possess a current ServSafe (Food Handler) Certification.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- A valid driver license in the state where the facility is located with an acceptable driving record required.
