Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Expected starting base salary $35 to $40 per hour.
Job Responsibilities :
- Providing guidance and troubleshooting assistance to new employees.
- Handling inquiries and directing correspondence appropriately; coordinating with practice office accounting requests and providing updates.
- Electronically processing and coordinating expense reimbursements for assigned practice offices.
- Reviewing firm credit card statement reconciliations for proper approvals, supporting documentation, and coding; addressing reconciliation errors with cardholders.
- Maintaining and coordinating A / P records in compliance with firm policies and procedures. Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- 6 years of relevant accounting experience, particularly in A / P processes and practices.
- 1 year of experience with electronic (EDI) vendor processing. Experience :
- Exhibit strong professional interpersonal skills and can effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the firm.
- Demonstrate the ability to mentor and support junior members of the accounts payable team.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of bookkeeping procedures, including posting, balancing, debits and credits, and journal entries. REF # 48572
