Department : HIM Medical Record Completion

FTE : Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift : Days; Tuesday-Saturday, 7 : 30a-4p.

Pay : $20.87 - $27.13 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary :

Maintains accuracy, integrity and completeness of health information.

Responsibilities :

• Reviews and validates medical records and related documentation per established guidelines.
• Investigates and resolves discrepancies, researches and corrects inaccurate or incomplete records.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to assist with problem identification and resolution.
• Prepares reports, presentations and other documents as instructed.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements :

• Associate's degree.
• Training in Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy.
• Preferred : Certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
