The Department of Biomedical Sciences has strengths in the areas of cardiovascular, neuroscience, and cancer research. Faculty members have access to several research facilities including a state-of-the-art imaging center.

New York Institute of Technology's College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM), one of the largest single-campus medical schools in the U.

S., located on Long Island (Old Westbury, N.Y.), is requesting applications for an Assistant / Associate Professor, Microbiology.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide didactic lectures to first and second year medical students in a system-based curriculum.
  • Facilitate small-group learning sessions in first and second academic years.
  • Mentor medical students throughout their medical school training.
  • Serve on committee to fulfill institutional and departmental needs.
  • Conduct bench or scholarly research and guide students in scholarly activity.

Qualifications :

  • PhD with expertise in microbiology / immunology is preferred.
  • Post-doctoral training and / or teaching experience preferred.
