JOB SUMMARY : Performs a variety of housekeeping tasks requiring strong supervisory skills. Provide leadership, direction and equity for and in dealing with all employees on the shift.
Creates an effective and cohesive working relationship with department employees, Department Heads, all hospital staff, and the public.
Ensures regulatory compliance for sanitation, for patients, guests, and employees. Ensures that public areas are appropriately sanitized, to project a strong, positive image.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1.A minimum of 2-year Housekeeping leadership experience in institutional setting.
2.Familiarity with Joint Commission requirements, preferred.
3.Familiarity with chemical sanitizers and general housekeeping functions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.In collaboration with department manager, organizes, directs and administers the Environmental services programs to maintain the hospitals environments in a clean, sanitary, safe, attractive and orderly condition.
2.Plans shift work schedules to ensure adequate service for all areas of the hospital.
3.In collaboration with manager, investigates and evaluates products and equipment used within the hospital for housekeeping purposes.
4.Regularly inspects and evaluates cleanliness and appearance of the hospital.
5.Serves as a role model for personnel in terms of quality of work and following of policies and rules and promotes team work among personnel.
6.Complies with all directives, policies, and environmental services and the hospital administration.
7.Performs other duties as assigned or required.
