We are currently seeking an Office / Customer Service Supervisor for our Optical Lab located in West Des Moines. This is an excellent opportunity to join our TEAM We are the #1 independent optical wholesaler in the U.S.! Job Summary

Supervise and manage to a high level of efficiency the Office / Customer Service area of the branch. This position is responsible for the training and monitoring of employees activities of all tasks in the area.

Further responsibilities include : scheduling vacation, employee hours and for maintaining attendance and morale in the department.

Position Specifics :

• Able to demonstrate and perform to high levels of competency all aspects of office / customer service duties to include but not limited to, the laboratory operating software system and manages activity to achieve high quality of output and service standards.
• Maintains close association with accounts and addresses issues of product information and Rx service renders decision to accounts on matters of company sales / service policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate ability to interpret work ticket instruction as it applies to all jobs / tasks within area of responsibility.
• Manages and trains employees within the Office / Customer Service area and assures timely performance reviews, proper documentation of performance issues and a motivating work environment.
• Effectively communicates with all levels of the organization to assure understanding and the proper application of company policies, practices and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience / Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, and four (4) years of optical laboratory / office environment experience commensurate with department functions.
• Prior Supervisory experience a plus.
• Good communication skills required, verbal and telephone.
• Keyboard and PC experience; specifically Digital Vision Inc. (DVI) optical lab operating software system.
• Ability to meet and maintain deadlines.
• Must be able to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision.
