Entanglement Technologies is seeking an Optical Manufacturing Engineer to play an integral role in supporting our rapidly expanding manufacturing team.
Our flagship chemical detection platform, AROMA, a thermal desorption, cavity ring-down spectroscopy (TD-CRDS) analyzer provides market-disrupting, best-in-class detection capabilities that have the potential to revolutionize the analytical instrumentation industry.
Primary responsibilities include assembly of critical optical and laser systems for manufacturing and assisting in development of new optical systems.

Roles And Responsibilities
- Direct involvement in the building and testing of new designs and prototypes
- Assembly, alignment and testing of laser-based optical systems
- Generate procedures and related documentation to support assembly and manufacturing including development of optical quality control procedures
- Assist in planning, designing and developing hardware components and assemblies for existing and new products in coordination with the ET team.
- Suggest adaptation, simplification and integration of various commercial components for testing sub-systems.
Required Education And Skills
- B.S. in quantitative science or engineering field OR equivalent experience
- Experience with detail-oriented contamination-sensitive assemblies; optical, UHV, Medical device, or semiconductor acceptable
- Experience with analytical instrumentation
- Familiarity with the basic mechanical tools and equipment used in light manufacturing
- Familiarity with basic electronics, handling circuit boards + connector assemblies
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
Preferred Experience And Skills
- Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Experience with optical assembly (5+ years preferred)
