onsemi is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer / Equipment Owner (Pump and Abatement) in Gresham, OR. As an Equipment Maintenance Engineer at onsemi’s premier 200mm manufacturing facility, the candidate will work in a dynamic team environment maintaining a fleet of semiconductor pump and abatement equipment.
The candidate will work primarily as the tool owner of multiple style Edwards pumps, Edwards Thermal Processing Unit (TPU), Edwards Gas Reactor Column (GRC), and Airgard wet scrubbers.
In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity to lead and participate in a variety of high-profile projects including tooling conversions, new tool installs, and equipment upgrade projects.
Project execution and performance will directly impact the company’s strategic plan to optimize capacity and factory performance.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain accurate records of equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
- Analyze equipment performance and reliability, leading projects to enhance stability.
- Develop programs and solutions to improve tool uptime / reliability and product quality.
- Provide hands-on technical and maintenance support as needed.
- Create preventative maintenance schedules, best-known-methods, and maintenance procedures.
- Drive continual improvement projects, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) teams, part sourcing, and in-house repair.
- Mentor and train maintenance technicians.
Qualifications :
- 5 years of relevant experience, currently enrolled in and have completed two years of a four-year engineering program.
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
- Practical knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems and controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred :
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or robotics engineering.
- In depth knowledge of pump, exhaust, and abatement fundamentals.
- Semiconductor industry experience.
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of Lean-Six-Sigma and manufacturing principles.
- Experience in training and leading maintenance technicians.
- Experience analyzing system performance data.
- Knowledge of FDC software such as FabGuard.
Area Equipment :
Edwards Legacy TPU, Edwards GRC, Airgard Wet Scrubbers, Edwards iQDP40 and iQDP80 pumps, QMB250, QMB500, and QMB1200 blowers, and a handful of other pump styles.
