We are looking for a VP & Head of Sales, Region Americas to join our team!

Preferred location : Atlanta Office Based (Hybrid)

What you’ll do at Elekta :

As the VP & Head of Sales for the Americas region, you will be responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy to retain and grow the current install base across North and South America.

This role will play a pivotal role in building and managing a high-performing Account Management and sales teams, establishing strong and long-lasting customer relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Acting as the face of Elekta, the VP & Head of Sales will have executive presence with customers and internally. This role will lead the sales and business development teams across North and South America, along with the Commercial Operations function.

ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership :

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the Americas region aligned with the overall company objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the sales team, ensuring alignment with market trends and business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sales strategies with marketing, product development, and customer support.
  • Implement, drive and continually evolve a consistent sales methodology across the sales organization.
  • Effectively use sales tools and data to become more efficient.

Orders and Revenue Generation :

  • Drive order growth through effective sales strategies, customer acquisition, and retention efforts.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain key customer relationships, negotiating and closing high-value deals.

Market Analysis :

  • Strong analytical tools experience.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Marketing team to identify new opportunities for business expansion through market research.
  • Provide feedback to the executive team on market dynamics and competitive positioning.

Commercial Operations :

  • Oversee the Commercial Operations function, including sales forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities.
  • Implement and optimize sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Utilize CRM systems and other tools to track and analyze sales performance.

Team Management and Collaboration :

  • Ensure the correct skills and resources are in place and retained within the teams with continual development a focus.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership behaviors and ensure that all direct reports have clear guidance on expectations on their behaviors in their roles.
  • Ensure that regular performance and coaching meetings take place with all direct reports and where necessary ensure that any corrective actions are commenced.
  • Manage the selection, termination, development, measurement, motivation, and compensation of direct reporting employees.
  • Ensure that employee productivity and morale are at high levels.
  • Ensure through effective management of direct reports, all employees have a meaningful annual performance planning and evaluation meeting where development activities are discussed, documented, and acted upon within a timely manner in line with Elekta Group policies.
  • Collaborate and promote a collaborative and results-driven culture with colleagues both inside and outside of the Sales organization.
  • Is a formal member of and active contributor to the Region Americas Leadership team.
  • Communicate and ensure compliance with Elekta’s Code of Conduct.
  • Communicate regularly with executive leadership, providing updates on sales performance and market trends.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by the EVP Region Americas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales leadership roles with a track record of driving order growth and sustainment.
  • Successful sales and negotiation experience.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of the health sciences industry. Capital medical equipment sales and marketing experience is highly meritorious.
  • Strong understanding of the North and South America market.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Skilled speaker and representative in social contacts.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategies into actionable plans.
  • Highly adaptable and demonstrable track record of operating highly effectively in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Self-sufficiency to identify solutions and strategic direction. Persistent and persuasive behavior.
  • A strategic mindset with strong business acumen and commercial outlook.
  • Demonstrates and is an exemplar of the Elekta Values and Elekta Leadership Cornerstones.
  • Availability for extensive overnight travel domestic and international.

The US base salary range for this position is -$162,726 - $204,543.
