Responsibilities Position Summary : As a Social Media Specialist assisting the Manager, Communications Digital Media, you will manage our social media following across all channels and support the Snap-on franchisee network via social. You will execute other focused content projects as needed.
Key Tasks
Create, design, and write relevant content for Snap-on branded social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat & TikTok)
Provide social media coverage at events (e.g., our yearly tool show and key races within our race program such as NASCAR, IndyCar, NHRA)
Create social assets appropriate for specific channels and brand initiatives
Provide social listening and monitoring of social channels
Work within established brand guidelines for style and tone
Maintain private Facebook groups
Assist in overall management of Snap-on social channels
Content management of UGC & Stories
Engage customers by following, liking, and interacting in a genuine and authentic way
Responsible for animations provided to the franchisees
Back-up for weekly “Key News of the Week” (KNOW) email to franchisees
Back-up for franchisee portal
Support for the photography team and social content during the Snap-on Franchisee Conference (SFC)
Execute other projects as required
Qualifications Minimum bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, or related field
Strong graphic design skills
Strong editor and writer
3-5 years’ experience administering social media channels for a multi-level organization
Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
Strong grammar and proofreading skills
Creativity and design sense; proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiar with design software such as InDesign and Photoshop
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently while managing workload and deadlines
Excellent listening and interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain positive relationships
Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills
Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to travel and work flexible hours when needed
