Description

Works closely with the Project Manager to fulfill the work order. Production Lead is responsible for managing the entire production and assembly process of the work order from Studio Posting, Shop Manufacturing, Assembly and Delivery Preparation.

Responsibilities

• Shows up on time (or early), present, fed and ready to work
• Fully understands and Vonmod high-quality standards for production and assembly.
• Displays a strong understanding of the project and details specific to the work order after completing a Pre-Production Meeting with the Project Manager.
• Understand the importance of Project Plan time management and scheduling to keep projects moving and on time.
• Ability to delegate responsibilities and assign your production and assembly team.
• Competent using Cabinet Vision & Rhino to analyze projects, recognize errors and be able to post a work order
• Fully understands the posting process and integration with Production Coach / MES
• Has a high level of competency with all shop machinery and equipment. (CNC, Bander, Omal)
• Inspects machinery and tools to report faults or broken items to management and workers. Additionally, can troubleshoot and obtain the correct resources for repair if required.
• Implements preventative maintenance and stays up-to-date with efficient methods of production and equipment maintenance procedures.
• Ensures the required materials and hardware are available for production and that the workspace is prepared for the task at hand.
• Ability & Willingness to provide training sessions and refresher workshops as required. (Posting thru Staging)
• Maintains High level of communication between the Production Manager and their Production Tech team.
• Stays informed on the status of the project as it moves through the job cycle, and is available to process remills, change orders, and special request made by the Project Manager and / or Installation Team.
• Can identify potential unsafe work practices and can take steps to prevent accidents.
• Perform closeouts
• Keeping cool when things dont go as planned but working with urgency to resolve the issue.
• Taking ownership of the day to day work environment.

Success in this role looks like

• Profitable work orders
• Stay within allocated Project Plan hours
• Finished product has succeeded the Vonmod quality standards.

Skills and Experience Requirements

• 6 months of being a proficient production technician
• 2 weeks of onsite vonmod installation
• Basic Cabinet Vision, Rhino proficiency (opening, reading, dimensioning existing models)
