• The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full time Information Technology (IT) Cybersecurity Specialist (GS-2210-13), to perform as a Cybersecurity Computer Network Analyst, working at Headquarters (HQ) NORAD / USNORTHCOM (N&NC), on Peterson Space Force Base (SFB), in Colorado Springs, CO.

• Qualifications / Requirements :

In this position you will serve as a computer network security analyst responsible for the integrity, implementation, and maintenance of Cybersecurity / information Security functions relative to designated network infrastructures, applications, systems, and technologies for the N&NC Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET), N&NC Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), N&NC SIPRNET Releasable, and NORAD Enterprise Network, supporting globally, the N&NC Headquarters (HQs), Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, N&NC Washington Office, Office of Defense Coordination Mexico, Alaska NORAD Region, Western Air Defense Sector, Eastern Air Defense Sector, Canadian Air Defense Sector, and Canadian NORAD Region.

Plans, analyzes, and manages Cybersecurity projects within the Command, as well as reviews technical project documentation from a Cybersecurity perspective.

Ensures Cybersecurity directives, from higher agencies are applicable to their contract, are addressed, and that timely and accurate reporting and documentation are produced.

• Must be able to obtain & maintain a Top Secret / SCI Security clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate Information Assurance within 6-months of assigned duties.
• This position is designated as a Drug Test Designated Position
• This a Mission Essential Position, the incumbent must be removed from the Ready Reserve and may not become a member of the Ready Reserve.
• Knowledge of the full range of IT security principles, concepts, practices, products and services (including systems software, database software, immediate access storage technology), and methods for evaluating risk and vulnerability, implementing, mitigating and disseminating IT security tools and procedures.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and performance management methods sufficient to plan and conduct security accreditation reviews and risk analysis of new and current systems or networks.
• Knowledge of a full range of network system design principles, methodologies, and approaches used in developing, testing, installing, operating, managing, and maintaining network services that support functional requirements.
• Knowledge of methods and procedures to protect information systems and data by ensuring their availability, authentication, confidentiality, and integrity.
• Knowledge of defensive measures to detect, respond, and protect information, information systems, and networks from threats.
• Knowledge of principles, concepts, and methods of enterprise architecture to align IT strategy, plans and systems with the mission, goals structure, and processes of the organization.
• Knowledge of methods, tools, and procedures, including development of information security plans to prevent information systems vulnerabilities and provide or restore security of information systems and network services.
• Knowledge of architectural methodologies used in the design and development of information systems, including the physical structure of system's internal operation and interactions with other systems.
