Job Summary :
We have partnered with a premier builder in the industry to find an outgoing and experienced Vice President of Construction with high-volume experience.
In this key role, you will lead all field operations, overseeing the hiring, training, and management of a skilled construction team.
You’ll play a crucial part in ensuring that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure all construction positions are filled with skilled professionals proficient in technical abilities, cost control, and customer service.
- Provide training and mentorship to the Superintendent team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage project budgets, proactively reporting any shortages or overages.
- Promote collaboration among all functional teams, including Superintendents, Sales, and Marketing, to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and deliver weekly performance feedback to labor trades.
- Recruit and assess subcontractors based on quality standards and scheduling needs.
- Support land acquisition and development initiatives as necessary.
- Ensure all construction personnel are well-trained in our warranty program and safety protocols.
- Monitor project schedules and the effectiveness of the Quality Control process.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field, or 8-10 years of experience in a management role within a high-volume homebuilder.
- At least five years of direct experience in progressively responsible positions with a production homebuilder.
- General Contractor’s license (as applicable) and formal OSHA training preferred.
- Proficient in computer applications and technology.
- Strong relationship-building and self-organization skills.
- Excellent planning and problem-solving abilities.
Essential Functions :
- Regularly report to division and corporate offices, adhering to established schedules.
- Oversee daily operations of direct reports, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Access and manage information efficiently through computers and electronic devices.
- Engage in face-to-face conversations with customers, coworkers, and higher-level management.
- Sit or stand for extended periods and navigate the work environment effectively.
- Operate a motor vehicle as required.
Job Types : Full-time, Contract
Pay : $170,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
