Job Description :
This job is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for complex features to deliver significant business outcomes.
Key responsibilities of the job include delivering complex features and technology, enabling development efficiencies, providing technical thought leadership based on conducting multiple software implementations, and applying both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies.
Additionally, this job is accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery.
Responsibilities :
- Ensures that the design and engineering approach for complex features are consistent with the larger portfolio solution
- Define the technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate and adapt new testing tool / framework / practices for team(s)
- Enables team(s) / applications with Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI / CD) capabilities and engages with other technical stakeholders pertaining to efficient functioning of CI-CD pipeline
- Guides and influences team(s) on design and best practices for high code performance -e.g. pairing, code reviews
- Provides end-to-end delivery of complex features, including automation, for either a single team or multiple teams, at the program level
- Conducts research, design prototyping and other exploration activities such as evaluating new toolsets and components for release management, CI / CD, and features
- Works with stakeholders to establish high-level solution needs and with architects for technical requirements
Additional Responsibilities :
- Evaluate the current BI reporting solution and establish a roadmap to stabilize the environment.
- Define and propose changes to the existing technology tool stack and evaluate and adapt new testing tool / framework / practices for team(s)
- Works with stakeholders to establish high-level solution needs and with architects for technical requirements.Monitoring and Alerting : Establish and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve ensuring high availability and performance of equity cash trading systems.
- Security and Compliance : Collaborate with security teams to implement and enforce security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Performance Optimization : Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance through capacity planning, performance tuning and infrastructure scaling to meet the demands of high-volume equity trading environment.
- Collaboration and Documentation : Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand requirements, provide technical guidance on tools, usage and document system configuration, workflows, and best practices.
- Develop and provide operational support for full-stack software applications.
- Collaborate with development operations staff to create, monitor, and troubleshoot the system infrastructure.
- Increase system resilience and serve larger customer volumes with expert-level coding, bulletproof release, and change management skills.
- Improve automation and increase the system's self-healing capability.
- Collect operating system data and report performance metrics to stakeholders.

Required Skills
- Financial industry experience
- Tenured BI, ETL and data warehouse tools experience
- Strong understanding of and at least 12 years of previous experience back office systems and processing
- Prime brokerage experience an added advantage
- Proficiency in ETL, BI tools and data warehouse
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Capabilities to manage and deliver large technology programs.
Desired Skills
- Proven experience of managing large reporting solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google cloud.
Minimum Education Requirement : Bachelor Degree or equivalent working experience
