The Role

As a Staff Software Engineer on our threat intelligence team, you will be building massive-scale systems used by Fortune 100 customers which contain everything our company knows about the threat landscape.

This development will include powering both search & explore use cases across our cloud data, as well as obtaining customer-specific data using their infrastructure.

This is a uniquely-challenging role : we empower small teams to make large impacts, the scale of our data is legitimately huge, and we're building product to help customers to hunt for a needle in a haystack. #

Your day-to-day

  • Design & implement algorithms that combine data from disparate systems into meaningful insights for customers
  • Build fault-tolerant systems that can recover from individual system failures with no data loss
  • Design, code, review, test, and deploy software features in our application stack
  • Work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and challenging environment with a focus on driving best practices across the organization
  • Support the team and production applications by resolving bugs and other technical issues
  • Write automation code that deploys and monitors your systems in the cloud

What you bring to the team

  • Prior experience building high-performance code with Scala, Java, or similar
  • Ability to see the big picture, collaborate with cross-product teams, and drive architectural conversations
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting applications in a micro-services cloud environment
  • Experience with containerizing applications (e.g. Docker)
  • Knowledge of CI / CD and working with tools like Jenkins or similar
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion, curiosity, integrity, and outstanding attention to detail while performing tasks
  • A "get it done" attitude consistent with a team where everyone writes code
  • A desire to push yourself & your team to do their best work
  • A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

This role may be eligible for variable pay and / or equity. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes flexible time off, a robust well-being program that provides for 4 global wellbeing days per year, and a 3-week work from anywhere option.

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area :

Base Pay Range : 189,750.00 - 278,300.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska :

Base Pay Range : 158,400.00 - 232,320.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above :

Base Pay Range : 144,825.00 - 212,410.00 USD
