Shipping and Receiving Specialist Location : Norcross, GA Salary : $20-$25 / hr, depending on experience and qualifications (with a potential increase after a 3-month probationary period) Job Type : Full-Time Job Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic team in Norcross, GA.
This role is more than just handling shipping and receiving; it requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple aspects of our logistics operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all tasks.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities : Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Prepare and process outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers.
Maintain organized records of all shipping and receiving transactions. Manage inventory levels by performing regular stock checks and updating inventory systems.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve any shipping or receiving issues. Operate forklifts and other equipment as necessary to move and store products safely.
Monitor and report on inventory discrepancies or potential supply chain issues. Ensure compliance with all safety and company protocols.
Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including packing, labeling, and staging orders. Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent required;
additional certifications or training in logistics is a plus. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred).
Proficient in inventory management software and MS Office applications. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. A proactive attitude with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
