Job Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer (QE) Staff for a position in Grand Prairie, TX.
This position supports the Precision Fires QA Development Group. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for leading and implementing advanced Quality Engineering initiatives within the Precision Fires Advanced Programs, significant development programs with the potential to be a franchise programs with support working development Proposals and BOE's.
The Quality Engineer will collaborate and partner with other functions including Program Manager, Proposal Manager, Contracts, Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production Operations and Customers.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
- Performance at suppliers of scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards.
- Provide internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective / preventive actions.
- Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, interface with customer needs and program management activities .
- Participate (as required) in supplier's failure / diagnosis and Material Review Board(MRB) activities. Perform on-going surveillance of supplier's conformance to Lockheed Martin requirement documents and provide written weekly reports.
- Provide technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and interfaces with supplier on a daily basis.
- Additional duties will include creating proposals / BOEs.

Desired skills
STEM degree at bachelor's level or higher preferred.
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning &
Tolerance (GD&T)
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
Certification or ASQ Certified Quality
Improvement Associate (CQIA)
Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools
to analyze and resolve technical / process issues
varying from basic to very complex
Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality
experience as well as experience with developing
and reviewing Quality Standards, methods, work
instructional and procedures for inspection
An understanding of the Missiles & Fire Control
MFC) SAP
Experience with control and disposition of
nonconforming material
