The Institute for Entrepreneurship (I4E) Assistant Director will work closely with the Executive Director and Unit Leaders to advance programming, access, reach and effectiveness of I4E to boldly lead and grow business and entrepreneurial relationships in the State of Colorado.
The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; the Institute for Entrepreneurship will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
This position is a part-time 12-month position with a 2 year term, renewable contingent upon available funding, continued business needs, and satisfactory performance in the role. Required Job Qualifications
- MBA, or other terminal degree in relevant field.
- 4+ years of experience in higher ed entrepreneurship programming.
- Ability and desire to work cross-functionally with high collaboration to achieve cross-organization objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple programs and assignments.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and achieve deadlines and communicate progress toward strategic goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Job Qualifications
- 2 years of team management experience (3 employees or more).
- 2 years of experience in fundraising and donor relationships.
- 2 years of experience partnering with universities, non-profit organizations, and associations.
- 2 years of experience working with living learning communities.
- In-depth knowledge of current trends and best practices in entrepreneurship education.

- Develop strategic vision for student engagement and experience with an emphasis on the Innovation Allie entrepreneurial living learning center program plan & design efforts.
- Foster an energized space for student entrepreneurial efforts.
- Innovate programmatic offerings to catalyze student entrepreneurial thinking & experiences.
- Partner with entrepreneurship leaders across the University and the broader community to create enriching student experiences.
- Partner with Faculty Directors & Affiliate Faculty to help create relevant curricular or co-curricular experiences to support the Innovation Allie living learning community.
- Help secure resources necessary for the fulfillment of I4Es mission.
- Identify and procure staff and resource needs.
- Create, prepare, and present reports on the success of I4Es initiatives, including a formal annual report.
- Offer guidance and consultancy on entrepreneurship specific strategic initiatives, including :
- Maintain membership in entrepreneurship education-focused organizations conferences and create a strategy and project plan to submit applications for GCEC, USASBE, Deshpande, and other relevant ranking initiatives.
- Strategize with I4E team to improve student engagement in the Venture Development platform.
- Deliver training sessions to I4E team to increase program efficiency and quality.
- Conduct an evaluation of current women in entrepreneurship landscape at CSU and create proposal for strategic direction.
- Create narrative for Venture Development platform improve storytelling for partner engagement across campus.
- Work with AVP Strategy & ED Development to develop student community focus & and fundraising narrative for the entrepreneurship living learning center
- Explore implementing an internship program at the Institute.
- Conduct evaluation of alumni engagement and create a proposal for engaging local business + alumni in I4E events / programming.

- Raise the awareness, stature, and network of CSU and I4E by amplifying student entrepreneurship efforts.
- Engage closely and coordinate with student entrepreneurship efforts housed in the various schools of the University.
- Work with broader entrepreneurial initiative across campus to catalyze ventures and solutions addressing critical societal needs.
- Foster relationships with broader communities of practice including alumni engaged in entrepreneurial endeavors.
- Seek, support, and promote engagement with faculty, staff, students and others across the enterprise, other schools, institutes, and centers at CSU.

- Support day-to-day operations of I4E including supervision of one FTE and student employees.
- Support the annual budgeting process for the entity.

- Meet with key internal and external stakeholders across CSU, Fort Collins, and Colorado to ensure collaboration and shared goals across the disciplines and curriculum development
- Participate in fundraising and business development strategy at the Institute
- Identify and pursue new opportunities within the innovation and entrepreneurship education sectors.
