We are looking for a Sales Account Manager to join our sales team and help us grow our customer base for Motherboards primarily for Industrial and Medical applications.

The Sales Account Manager Motherboards will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients, and promoting our motherboard products.

To be successful in this role, a candidate must have a strong sales background, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of embedded computers.

The Sales Account Manager must also be able to work independently and collaboratively with other teams, such as marketing, engineering, and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for motherboards, focusing on target segments, markets, and accounts.
  • Overall account management of motherboard accounts in North America.
  • Research and generate leads, cold call, and email prospects.
  • Present and demonstrate our motherboard products to potential clients, highlighting the features, benefits, and value proposition.
  • Identify and evaluate the current and potential needs and competitors of the target market.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients, ensuring mutual satisfaction and long-term partnership.
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas and objectives, and report on sales performance and progress.
  • Provide after-sales support and service to clients, resolving any issues or complaints, and ensuring customer retention and loyalty.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network with potential clients and partners.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies, products, services, and competitors, and identify new opportunities and threats.
  • Proven relationship builder with exceptional organizational and communication skills to understand the customers' business model, strategy, and requirements and to match them with Kontron's capabilities and objectives.
  • Grow the funnel for motherboards through Business Development initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain senior level relationships within key customers to broaden awareness, understand current and emerging needs, and position Kontron as a solution leader.
  • Review customer requests for quotations and specifications needed to determine the best fit product solution. Determine solution path to reach customer requirements.
  • Prepare quotations to customers.
  • Provide general post-sales support by acting as the liaison between the customer and various departments within Kontron.
  • Reporting of activity including keeping up to date CRM records as well as funnel reviews & forecasting.
  • Support of contract reviews.
  • All other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent field required.
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, or Account Manager in the embedded industry, with a track record of achieving sales goals and generating revenue.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded computers, such as motherboards.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Preferably experience with Dynamics 365.
  • 3+ years’ experience in embedded computing sales / sales development / product management.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Data driven.
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, spreadsheet, and communication skills.
  • Ability to decipher ambiguous and conflicting information to set and drive account goals.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure in a high-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally as needed.
