RADIOLOGY SCHEDULER - FULL TIME

This will be at our Main Campus Location with the hours of M-F 8 am - 5 pm

General Summary :

The Radiology Float Scheduler is responsible for scheduling, rescheduling, and cancelling radiology appointments across all modalities / locations at The Toledo Clinic.

Essential duties include providing excellent customer service and ensuring that all patients are scheduled on a timely basis and accurately within modality guidelines.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities :

Example of Essential Duties :

• Schedules testing for all radiology modalities.
• Completes all necessary consent forms with patients either in-person or over the phone.
• Answers calls and welcomes patients courteously and professionally.
• Ensures the complete and accurate documentation of patient demographics and insurance information in the EHR.
• Works as a team player to ensure each patient receives the best possible service.
• Collaborates with physician offices as needed.

Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to) :

• Assists with various clerical duties (phones, scanning, faxes)
• Types correspondences, memos and letters.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Required :

• Previous scheduling experience and mastery of each radiology modality scheduling guidelines.
• Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and patience required.
• Ability to multitask
• Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

Education :

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Medical terminology coursework helpful.
