The Position

Hillsboro Aviation’scontract & charter division provides services to the United StatesForest Service (USFS), the Department of Interior (DOI), FEMA, largenational utility (powerline & infrastructure), and high-techcompanies as well as smaller companies and individuals.

Our missionsinclude search and rescue, short-haul (human external cargo, naturaldisaster relief, construction support, aerial firefighting, naturalresource surveys, film / photo / news, and heli-skiing.

Our fleet iscomprised of Airbus H145D3, Bell 205 A-1++, Bell 407, Bell 407HP, andAirbus AS350B3e.

As a B205A1++ Fire / Utility Pilot you will workclosely with the Contract & Charter team to perform in wildland firefighting operations in a B205A1++.

You will report to the Chief Pilotand will be responsible for the following, including but not limited to :

• Cover the assigned aircraft for an Exclusive Use contract or a Call When Needed contract during the summer season.
• If on a CWN contract, a guaranteed number of work days equivalent to an EU contract will be agreed upon.
• EU contract starts in 2024 and has 4 more extension years.
• The contract will start May / June 2024 and is expected to run until the end of fire season.
• Other utility operations will be scheduled to meet the needs of the project.
• Operateon a 12 on 2 off or 12 on 12 off schedule. If operated on a 12 on 2 offschedule, occasionally longer breaks to travel back home may bearranged based on helicopter operations and relief pilot availability.

Idealcandidates are able to work independently within his / her areas ofresponsibilities under limited supervision, excited to representHillsboro Aviation in front of key customers, including foreigngovernments, community leaders, and business partners, and willing toassist in other projects or duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications / Licenses

• COM or ATP certificate with Rotorcraft Helicopter Rating
• Current class 1 or 2 medical
• Current driver license with clean driving record
• Passport (for OPS crossing into Canada or relocations to Alaska)
• Able to legally work in the U.S.

Required Skills / Experience

• Helicopter Total Time : 3,500 hours
• 100 PIC in helicopter within last 12 months
• Bell Medium PIC Time : 50 hours
• Bell Medium PIC Time : 10 hours within last 12 months
• Bell Medium PIC Mountainous Terrain : 100 hours
• Vertical Reference Total Time : 300 hours

Preferred Skills / Experience

• Currently or previously interagency carded in Bell Mediums (preferably B205)
• Last 12 months : 25 hours PIC performing vertical reference w / precision placements
• Additional experience in B407 / AS350 / H145
