Overview
This position is located on site at Fort Meade, MD
Leads the development of an overarching training concept and leads the team that designs, develops and delivers training to a diverse DoD audience of range engineers on how to operate the world’s largest cyber range, the Persistent Cyber Range Environment (PCTE).
Responsibilities
- Works with the customer to understand training goals and requirements and applies a variety of training concepts into solutions that satisfy requirements.
- Manages training and development schedules within allocated cost baselines.
- Makes decisions on how to best apply training across a variety of mediums including, but not limited to video, online, documents, and in person.
- Maintains relevancy with commercial training architectures, tools, processes and solutions and ensures that the overarching training program is informed by those emerging trends.
- Provides hands on in-person and video-based training to a variety of audiences utilizing training materials developed by or for the program.
- Supervises and mentors a training team.
Required Experience / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of six (6) years’ experience managing technical training teams.
- Experience developing and delivering technical training.
- Strong personnel management skills.
- Familiarity with IT operations, VMware vSphere or NSX, Microsoft operating systems and Active Directory, Linux, Atlassian Jira / Confluence, Puppet or Ansible, and routing and networking
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Experience / Qualifications
- Knowledge of or prior experience with PCTE
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or other DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification)
Special Requirements / Security Clearance
- TS / SCI clearance is required.
- Occasional travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
