- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be able to push / pull up to 1000 lbs on a pallet jack.
- Must be able to use hand tools.
- Must be able to follow set up instructions (in English).
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Must be flexible and willing to work in different areas based on current needs.
- Must be able to sit / stand in one area for an entire 8 hour shift.
- Must be able to work Overtime / weekends when needed.
- Must be able to drive a forklift.
- Must have at least 5 years experience in injection molding tool work.
- Proficient in all machining operations : grinders, mills, drill presses, lathes.
- Tig and Micro welding experience preferred.
- Polishing experience preferred.
- Must be able to run overhead crane.
- Experience in hydraulic repair preferred
- Experience in electrical repair preferred.
- Experience in hot runner manifold repair preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)
1. Repair molds within established deadlines and meeting established quality requirements.
2. Keep track of all repairs and document all repairs in the system.
3. Responsible for performing PMs on tools, within required shot count.
4. Able to complete tasks within time constraints.
5. Keep production work area neat and clean while performing repairs, preventative maintenance, etc. and cleans-up area before leaving when the job is completed.
6. Keep Tooling Manager advised on the progress of mold and discusses problems as they develop.
7. Available for emergency repairs.
8. Performs other duties as assigned by Tooling Manager.
