Overview
The Underwriting Support Services Credit Analyst will provide commercial credit and financial analysis to all underwriting channels.

Responsibilities
Work independently to develop credit information as applicable to Renasant's underwriting channels in effort to assist in making lending decisions on new, renewal and prospective loans and credit reviews.
This includes the following :
Use a checklist to determine if all necessary financial information has been received on the borrower and guarantors for assigned loan requests.
If information is missing, communicate with lending and credit staff to obtain required items
- Apply careful evaluation and insight to assess credit, collateral, and financial data
- Prepare all financial spreads, global cash flows and real estate models
- Assist with written guarantor analysis
- Assist in the preparation of Relationship Credit Reviews with an emphasis on risk assessment
- Complete financial indicator covenant monitoring
- Manage pipeline workflow, communicating accordingly with manager as needed
- Ensure high quality production and turnaround standards are achieved
- Assume ownership on all assigned tasks with little or no direct supervision
- Apply Renasant Bank's Loan Policies and Department Procedures consistently in the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities
- Participate in projects under the direction of senior credit and lending staff
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics preferred (or equivalent years of directly related experience will be considered)
- Minimum of 2 year of Commercial Underwriting experience or 5 years prior applicable banking / lending experience
- Ability to apply sound judgment in analyzing and interpreting financial statements, supporting informed decision-making in risk evaluation
- Knowledge of different collateral loan types and how to calculate LTV
- Ability to identify different commercial loan types and purposes
- Ability to analyze tax returns, accountant prepared financial statements and internally prepared financial statements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn and use new systems, processes, policies and procedures effectively and efficiently
- Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite of products including outlook, word, and excel
- Ability to use a financial calculator to calculate loan payments and other financial calculations
- Ability to learn varied job assignments readily
