2024-25 Art Teacher, Holy Rosary School Seattle
Holy Rosary School is a preschool-8th grade STEM plus school in West Seattle, serving approximately 500 students and is dedicated to helping our students grow as disciples of Christ.
We are seeking a dynamic art teacher who can work with students of all ages. Preference given to practicing Catholics. This position begins in the 2024-25 School Year.
Successful candidates :
- Have deep knowledge of and are able to teach a curriculum based on the state fine arts standards.
- Understand the developmental needs of K-8 students in art in order to adapt curriculum and instruction to engage students of different ages and abilities.
- Utilize a diverse set of skills that incorporates of all types of art and art history that are appropriate for the ages and skill levels of students and in alignment with what is appropriate for a Catholic grade school.
- Collaborate with school staff to support project production for specific times of the year.
- Evaluate / report each student’s artistic growth, performance, and understanding of the art standards.
- Are passionate about Catholic education and its purpose.
- Possess or are eligible for certification in Washington State.
- Can communicate effectively and proactively with staff, students, and parents.
- Have strong classroom management skills.
- Are creative, engaging, and dynamic in the classroom.
- Be able to fulfill other roles and responsibilities as assigned.
- Preference given to practicing Catholics.
Salary : The range for this position is $55,450 - $97,422. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
