Our client is a large processing facility located near Purdue University in Lafayette, IN and they are seeking a Process Improvement Engineer for the plant.
In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day production results, managing and participating in projects, developing processes, providing guidance to junior engineers, and more.
Additional responsibilities include :
- Assisting in proposal preparation and developing findings, conclusions, and recommendations
- Contributing to the design of moderately complex engineering projects or handling parts of a major project
- Contributing new ideas for safer, more cost-effective, or innovative techniques
- Collaborating internally and externally
- Providing technical supervision and instructions to process operators
- Assisting entry-level professionals in procedural and technical matters
- Troubleshooting problems and suggesting corrective actions
Qualifications :
- Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering or related engineering field
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a process / manufacturing environment
- Strong desire to learn and grow, ability to solve complex engineering challenges, and willingness to mentor others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with basic chemical operations
