A national chemicals manufacturer is looking to hire a Senior Regulatory Specialist to join their existing Product Stewardship team.
In a customer facing role, the incumbent will provide counsel and advice to the business and external customers regarding product safety / regulatory affairs, product stewardship, and product risk management.
This is a hybrid role (requiring 3 days a week in the office) and requires 15-25% travel, most domestic, occasionally international.
The Role :
- Identifying and communicating emerging product safety, environmental, and transportation regulations.
- Maintaining component hazard and regulatory information.
- Preparing Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and label text for Company’s products according to the Global Harmonized System.
- Evaluating products and components against various governmental safety, environmental and transportation regulations.
- Responding to customer and internal Company product stewardship inquiries.
The Candidate :
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, such as : IH, Occ. Health, Toxicology, Environmental, Safety or Chemical related.
- 3+ years of product stewardship experience; chemical manufacturing experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of the regulations of both regional, national and global authorities governing product safety and registrations.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements under TSCA, RCRA, and REACH.
- SAP experience a plus
