TITLE : Field Service Technician
TYPE : Direct Hire
LOCATION : Indianapolis, IN
ONSITE / REMOTE / HYBRID : Onsite & 50% travel during the week
START DATE : July / August 2024
We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our growing team
The role will require extended travel completing equipment installations, services, and start-ups on shot blasting equipment
Provide excellent customer service and propel service success that boosts customer satisfaction, increases customer retention, and enhances profitability for the company.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver service and client support during field visits and calls by analyzing system requirements, diagnosing errors or technical problems, exploring complaints, figuring out suitable solutions, overseeing tests, and solving problems.
- Respond to client tech services emails and calls in a timely manner
- Install new machinery and start-ups on site
- Conserves customer confidence by keeping service details private
- Create daily work schedules
- Creating travel plans
- Builds rapport with clients by recommending system improvements, identifying solutions, examining complaints, and suggesting improved techniques and methods
- Records installation and service tasks by fulfilling reports, forms, records, and logs
- Downtime includes working in the Assembly Department constructing new machines as necessary
- Create positive relationships with clients
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma / GED is required.
- At least 2+ years of experience in service
- Experience with electronics and machinery mechanics is required.
- Knowledge of PLCs.
- Must be able to problem-solve, repair and test.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts adapting to varying work schedules
- Must be able to work with little to no supervision
