Perkins Coie is looking for an experienced dynamic individual to manage our Intellectual Property Paralegals. Reporting to the Talent Advisor, the Intellectual Property (IP) Paralegal Manager will be a vital part of the Human Resources team and is passionate about enabling our firm wide IP paralegals and paralegal assistants in providing the highest level of service to our attorneys and clients.

In coordination with the Talent Advisor, the IP Paralegal Manager is responsible for leading all IP paralegals and paralegal assistants, coordinating and managing workload;

enhancing productivity and billable time; and mentoring and training the IP paralegal team. They are responsible for reviewing, documenting and improving processes.

This role is highly collaborative, working in partnership with Practice Group Leadership, Human Resources, Technology, Finance, Professional Standards and Business Operations and will achieve firm goals through effective communication, planning and execution.

The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of IP paralegal practices and the ability to lead and develop a team of professionals with expertise in the Intellectual Property practice.

  • Requirements include demonstrated experience leading, coaching and counseling team members during the entire employee life cycle;
  • ability to communicate effectively and establish effective and productive relationships with colleagues at all levels; exceptional organizational skills in order to direct workflow, manage competing priorities and meet required deadlines;

and is dedicated to client service, building relationships, leading change, developing and inspiring others; and thinking critically.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree, a minimum of five years of experience working as a patent paralegal and two years of managing paralegals, or equivalent.

Trademark experience, preferred.

Colorado compensation range : $97,240 to $150,440 annually

Los Angeles compensation range : $113,240 to $175,190 annually

San Diego compensation range : $111,800 to $172,970 annually

San Francisco compensation range : $124,110 to $192,010 annually

Washington State compensation range : $102,570 to $158,690 annually
