Trusts and Estates Paralegal
Boutique Law firm in Coral Gables seeks to hire a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trusts and Estates Paralegal. The Trusts and Estates Paralegal will play a vital part in supporting the attorneys with all aspects of trust and estate administration, probate, and estate planning.
The Trusts and Estates Paralegal will have the opportunity to work directly with clients, draft certain documents, conduct legal research, and manage case files, while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
- Trust and Estates Paralegals duties include : ·Drafting and preparing legal documents such as wills, trusts, and power of attorney forms.
- Ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal requirements in document creation.·Communicating with clients to gather necessary information for legal proceedings.
- Providing updates on case progress and addressing client inquiries. ·Assisting attorneys in developing comprehensive estate plans for clients.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their wishes and goals for wealth distribution.·Managing the probate process for estates, including filing necessary documents with the court.
- Coordinating with clients, beneficiaries, and financial institutions. ·Conducting legal research on relevant statutes, case law, and regulations.
- Staying informed about changes in estate planning and probate laws.·Organizing and maintaining legal files and documentation.
- Managing deadlines and ensuring timely completion of tasks. ·Collaborating closely with attorneys to provide administrative and substantive support.
- Participating in case strategy discussions and contributing to decision-making.·Coordinating with financial institutions to facilitate the transfer of assets.
- Managing financial aspects related to trusts and estates.·Filing legal documents with the appropriate courts and agencies.
- Ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures. ·Handling administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, and managing correspondence.
- Assisting in billing and timekeeping activities.·Educating clients on legal processes and requirements.·Providing guidance on steps to be taken to ensure legal compliance.
The Trust and Estates Paralegal needs a strong understanding of legal procedures, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to effectively support attorneys in this specialized field.
