POSITIONSUMMARY : Provides management of staff related tocredentialing and privileging functions in Medical Staff Servicesdepartment
Requirements
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION : AssociateDegree or equivalent work experience required. Bachelor’sDegree preferred.
CERTIFICATION / LICENSES : Current CPCS certification or become certifiedwithin two years upon meeting certification requirements.
SKILLS :
- Ability to work collaboratively withadministrative team, physicians, patients, staff employees andcommunity
- Fluency in speaking, reading andwriting English :
- Additional desirable skillsinclude :
- Computer skills, including MicrosoftOffice Suite, MD-Staff and data base management
- Understanding of financial and accountingprinciples
- Excellent communication skills,both written and verbal
- Ability to work wellin team settings
- Deadline driven,self-starter.
- Knowledge of medicalterminology
EXPERIENCE : Two yearsexperience in Medical Staff Services
NATURE OF SUPERVISION :
Responsible to : Director of Medical Staff Office
ENVIRONMENT :
- General office environmentand general hospital departments (100%) of the day.
- Bloodborne pathogen A
PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS : Ability to move around the hospital toall units / departments and off-site clinics for about 20% of theday, sitting in office 80% of the day.
Use of computer toenter data, type reports and request reports. Requires goodvision, dexterity to write as well as type.
Subject tostressful professional relationships. Working hours vary,with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule andemergencies.
