Sandalwood Management is a full-service asset management and property management firm dually based in Austin, Texas and Montreal, Quebec.
In the United States, Sandalwood manages over 7,500 units of multifamily across 12 states and over 1.8 million sq. ft. of office and retail commercial space.
A majority of the firm’s assets are related party managed, creating a vertically integrated portfolio. Future focus is on growing the 3rd party management business in addition to opportunistic investments.
The firm is seeking an ambitious Financial Analyst to join the growing Austin, Texas team.
The Financial Analyst role reports directly to the CFO. You will add value by compiling, analyzing, and communicating key financial and operational metrics to upper management.
Bringing visibility to key metrics drives accountability in performance across the firm and informs decisions by upper management.
The most important attributes of a successful candidate are a willingness to learn and attention to detail. You will work closely with upper management and learn from seasoned executives who have decades of commercial real estate experience through various markets and cycles.
Responsibilities
- Create and distribute weekly reporting on KPI’s for multifamily property operations
- Create monthly financial reporting summaries for owners
- Analyze property financial performance, utilizing market and internal portfolio data
- Assist in budget & forecasting process
- Create management proposal materials (budgets & decks)
- Provide data for quarterly investor & lender reporting
- Assist in asset onboarding & offboarding
- Update underwriting models
- Compile due diligence materials and analysis for potential acquisitions
- Compile materials for refinancing.
- Work closely with Regional Property Managers, Accounting group, and other outside parties
- Ad hoc reports and analyzes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- 1+ years work experience for an accounting firm or commercial real estate firm
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting and basic finance concepts
Salary : $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
