What You'll Do :

• Deliver training in the classroom and one-on-one settings for Fixed Equipment in a mine setting (i.e., Conveyors, Screen Decks, Crushers, etc.).
• Develop and implement training program materials. Perform reviews of program documentation to ensure consistency in the field.
• Gain knowledge of Mobile Equipment in production mining to lead training for mobile equipment in the future.
• Perform consistent, accurate, and reliable assessments of the operator's abilities to operate a piece of specific equipment in the field, in a competent manner.
• Provide guidance and advice to lead persons after training and documentation have been performed.
• Champion safety by taking an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.

Enforce all Company and regulatory policies, rules, and regulations.

• Maintain a clear understanding of current regulatory requirements, and able to explain requirements when necessary.
• Responsible for the accuracy and validity of all certifications and compliances (equipment-specific qualifications, etc.).
• 50% in-state travel is required to support training needs in our Fort Myers Quarry, Witherspoon Sand Plant, Fort Pierce Quarry, and Miami Quarry.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need :

• 5+ years of experience operating fixed mining equipment.
• Bilingual (English / Spanish).
• Availability / willingness to travel; 50% in-state day travel required to Fort Myers Quarry, Witherspoon Sand Plant, Fort Pierce Quarry, and Miami Quarry.
• Plant operation knowledge along with regulatory standards.
• Ability to utilize company software along with PowerPoint, Excel, and similar computer programs.
• Must possess excellent hazard recognition skills, working with different partners to address challenges and problems ensuring accurate, safe, and efficient solutions.
• Must have strong people skills with the ability to publicly speak to large groups at times, and possess leadership qualities.
• Able to manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
• Result-oriented with a high degree of initiative and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• PC literate, proficient in MS Office / Google Office Software (Gmail, Google Sheets and Docs) able to record information and create / analyze reports.
