GENERAL PURPOSE

The Production Line Supervisor at Beehive Meals plays a crucial role in leading a dynamic team of Meal Prep Team Members, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality freezer meals.

The ideal candidate for this supervisory position possesses strong leadership skills, a commitment to fostering a positive team culture, and the ability to maintain high levels of quality and productivity in a fast-paced food production environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership and Management :

  • Supervise and lead a team of Meal Prep Team Members in the preparation and packaging of meals.
  • Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to ensure daily tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.

Foster a Positive Team Culture : Create and maintain a positive and inclusive team environment that promotes collaboration, open communication, and a strong sense of belonging.

Training and Development :

  • Identify training needs within the team related to meal preparation and packaging.
  • Work through the team's dedicated training specialist to provide coaching and mentoring for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in food processing.

Task Assignment : Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and strengths while considering production schedules and deadlines.

Performance Monitoring :

  • Regularly assess team performance in meal preparation, assembly, and packaging.
  • Provide constructive feedback and recognize outstanding performance.
  • Address any performance issues promptly.

Production Planning : Collaborate with production planners and managers to ensure production schedules are met, and resources are utilized efficiently.

Quality Control :

  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures specific to meal production.
  • Ensure products meet or exceed established quality standards.
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) are followed at all times.

Process Improvement :

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in meal preparation and packaging.
  • Implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.

Safety Compliance : Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Documentation : Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production reports, inventory levels, and incident reports.

Motivate the Team : Inspire and motivate team members to achieve production goals and targets, fostering a sense of ownership and accountability.

Conflict Resolution : Effectively resolve conflicts and address issues that may arise within the team, promoting a harmonious work environment.

NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS

Interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all levels of employees, management, executives, vendors, customers and external partners.

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS :

Proven Leadership : 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, preferably in a production or manufacturing setting.

Team Building : Strong interpersonal and team-building skills, with a track record of creating a positive and productive team culture.

Communication : Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly and facilitate effective teamwork.

Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address production-related challenges.

Time Management : Exceptional time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.

Work Safety Awareness : Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and a commitment to ensuring a safe working environment for the team.

Food Safety Awareness : Knowledge of food safety regulations and commitment to ensuring GMP's are followed and upheld at all times.

Continuous Improvement : Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and a proactive attitude toward process optimization.

PHYSICAL / SENSORY DEMANDS :

Work is generally performed in a production / warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to :

  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Use hands to handle food products and processing equipment.
  • Perform repetitive wrist, hand and / or finger movement
  • Feel the attributes of objects, grasp, and push.
  • Wear personal protective equipment while working (provided) - this might include, and is not limited to hairnet, facemask, gloves, safety glasses, etc.
  • Stand and work over a table.
  • Reach with arms or hands, including overhead.
  • Lift and carry varying objects of 15 - 40 lbs., and up to 75lbs. throughout the day.

Job Type : Full-time; Monday through Friday with 1 designated day off; 5 : 40 am to 2 : 00 pm.

Pay : $22 to $24 per hour.

Work Location : In person
