WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE A CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AT DDRC

As the Chief Financial Officer at DDRC you play a critical role in overseeing all fiscal activities within the organization.

This includes oversight of the staff supporting financial operations, various administrative functions and external audits, responsibility for budget preparation, and ensuring accurate financial reporting on a monthly and annual basis.

In this senior position, you are responsible for analyzing financial opportunities and financial projections and forecasts, provide ongoing financial reports to the Board of Directors, and actively participate in monthly board committee meetings.

Your responsibilities will extend to overseeing investments, capital expenditures, insurance, risk management, various administrative functions, and federal corporate compliance.

As a key member of the executive leadership team, you stay informed about relevant legislation and regulations to ensure DDRC's ongoing compliance and success.

WHAT MATTERS MOST

To excel in the role of Chief Financial Officer at DDRC, candidates must possess a master's degree in a related field and / or hold an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, coupled with a proven track record in a senior-level financial management role.

Strong leadership and managerial skills are crucial, showcasing a track record of increasing responsibility over time. Preferred qualifications include experience in human services, intellectual and developmental disability services, non-profit organizations, and familiarity working with state departments and governmental funding.

Audit experience and familiarity with Medicaid and other state / federal funding is highly desirable for this position.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strategic mindset, exceptional analytical abilities, and a deep understanding of financial rules, regulations, and compliance standards.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are :

  • Master's degree in related area and / or active Certified Public Accountant licensure and demonstrated senior level financial management experience.
  • Leadership / managerial experience demonstrating proven track record of increasing responsibility.
  • Prefer experience in human services, intellectual and developmental disability services, non-profits and working with state departments.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and other state / federal funding highly desirable.
  • Audit experience highly desirable.
