Description
Sugar Bowl Resort is looking for a Lead Lift Operator to assist with the smooth operation of ski lifts. Assume role of lift operator and / or ticket checker as needed.
Work outside in all weather conditions. Frequent shoveling of work area. Must be good with people, constant guest interaction involved.
Some problem solving and conflict resolution needed. Be able to take work seriously and have fun at the same time.

Who you are
- Energetic, friendly and outgoing with strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a sometimes high stress, fast paced environment

- Self-starter who can determine on own what needs to be done
- Ability to ski or snowboard (intermediate level)
What you will do
- Set up lifts in the morning and assist with powering down at night
- Shovel work area and run snow blower as needed
- Coordinate and administer timely breaks for Lift Operators
- Keep assigned area clean and organized including inside the top and bottom lift shacks. Keep assigned area well stocked with necessary supplies
- Assume role of and perform duties of Lift Operator
- Implement and enforce the Under 51 program, while maintaining a smooth flow through the lift maze area
- Educate guests and employees about the Under 51 program
- Check tickets as needed. Check to see that Lift Logs are completed and turned in daily
- Check on top and bottom ramp conditions throughout day, assist with ramp re-builds at night
- Assist with on-going training of Lift Operators
- Be willing and able to provide excellent customer service to all people at all times
