Role Description
As a team member of the Mutual Practice Treatyunit, the Senior Account Executive is responsible for the generation andretention of profitable treaty business in the US.
The position hasspecific responsibility for marketing and client service activities, as well asunderwriting activities as appropriate.
Candidates will be work withexisting Senior Account Executive’s, the Underwriting Team and AccountSpecialists to develop skill that allow them the opportunity to succeed in therole.
Position Responsibilities :
From a marketing perspective. Thecandidate will be expected to demonstrate :
- Strong understanding of the primary marketplace and industry trends
- Ability to engage in product conversations with client LoB management and understanding relationship to client financial results
- Strong desire to market frequently across client senior management, building new and strengthening existing relationships
- Excellent negotiation skills
From an underwritingperspective. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate :
- An ability to understand client’s portfolios and provide qualitative and quantitative perspectives and design reinsurance solutions based on their underwriting strategy and past / future performance
- Coordinate and participate in client underwriting reviews
- Learn to use and interpret portfolio pricing tools
Role Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 10 years of Property or Casualty LoB / Underwriting or 15+ years of (re)insurance company financial management
- Enjoys working within a small team and is both collaborative and collegial
- A willingness to work independently
- Proven quantitative and analytical skills
- Excellent communicator including listening, verbal and written.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively
- Superior time management skills
- Thrives in a role performing many different tasks
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative in a team based environment with limited supervision
- Ability to develop creative approaches and solutions
- Constant willingness to learn
- Ability to respond to client needs while achieving underwriting objectives
- Willingness to work in Stamford, CT
Salary Range
210, - 350, USD
The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the US and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and / or training.
