Join our innovative Product Engineering Data team as a Senior Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data systems.

As an impactful and key member of our Product Engineering Data team, you'll be entrusted with designing, constructing, testing, and maintaining highly scalable data management systems.

Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that our systems not only meet business requirements but also align with industry best practices.

Dive into the latest data management technologies and seamlessly integrate them into our existing structures. Collaborate on messaging systems and data pipelines, utilizing a diverse set of technologies and tools to enhance system cohesion.

This dynamic position will be based in our San Ramon, CA headquarters, offering a hybrid work model with three office days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays), providing a balance for collaboration and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
• Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
• Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures.
• Work with messaging systems and data pipelines.
• Employ a variety of technologies and tools to marry systems together.
• Drive the improvements on data reliability, efficiency, and quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience in production environments as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; a Master’s is a plus.
• Understanding of general data engineering and distributed system principles.
• Solid background working in a SDLC with a standard programming language (e.g. Java, Python).
• Hands-on experience with SQL database design.
• Experience with messaging systems and data pipelines.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Apache Kafka, Google BigQuery, PubSub, and the GCP ecosystem.
• Experience in data mining, data cleaning, and data management.
• Previous experience in the Contact Center industry.

Additionally, the total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, and / or other applicable incentive compensation plans.

$114,600 $209,600 USD
