Senior Accountant

Our client is a mid-sized family-owned business that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their Coconut Grove location.

This is a newly created role and will be a part of a tight knit team of 9 with solid work / life balance.

Salary / Hourly Rate :

$85k

Position Overview :

The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing general ledger accounting and assisting in the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant :

• The Senior Accountant will assist in the preparation of financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system.
• The Senior Accountant will prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files and reconciling accounts.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes if necessary.
• Assist with bank reconciliations.
• The Senior Accountant answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• The Senior Accountant protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant :

• 5+ years of progressive GL experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and vlookups).

Education Requirements :

Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting.
