Salary Range : $75,000-$105,000 annual salary plus variable compensation.
Work Location : Greenwood Village (South of Denver). Hybrid (Typically minimum of 3 days in the office)

Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for timely, accurate accounting close of
- One or more growing storage-property portfolios; portfolios may be organized by geographic region, legal ownership or other criteria
- Upon request, a management company
- Lead, manage and develop a team of accountants
- Oversee general accounting function which includes multi-entity and related party accounting, cash management / reconciliation, financial reporting, and transaction supervision.
- Oversee registration of business entities with relevant jurisdictions and timely filings and remittance of taxes, including sales & use taxes and property taxes
- Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with company policies and GAAP; review monthly account reconciliations, financial statements and other documents to ensure this compliance.
- Prepare and distribute recurring and ad hoc management reports, including financial reporting to investment partners
- Oversee preparation of financial statements subject to Big 4 audit
- Prepare and distribute financial statements for stores owned by independent parties
- Ensure policies, procedures and SOX-compliant internal controls are in place to protect company assets and ensure financial statement accuracy
- Provide technical accounting and GAAP guidance to accounting team. This may include involvement in due diligence and other activities surrounding real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
- Analyze and communicate to senior management variances to budgets and prior periods.
Qualifications
- Management experience in accounting
- Large- or medium-size company experience preferred
- Experience in a publicly traded company is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to form, lead and develop high-performing teams
- Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting
- CPA license is a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience in analyzing business performance in a real-estate or multi-location business
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain harmonious relationships with internal and external customers in person and over phone / email
- Demonstrated process improvement results is a plus
