Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Senior Network Engineer to assist with data center design, deployment, and documentation at their Rancho Bernardo, CA location.
Essential Functions :
- Develop engineering and automated deployments for datacenter system configurations.
- Executing engineering projects on schedule.
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and redline documented procedures.
- Implement engineering changes to the system as required
- Responsible for integrating and testing software and / or hardware systems in complex IT systems.
- Work closely with Engineers and Technicians in a lab environment.
- Good planning, coordination, and documentation skills are required.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience;
OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience.
- Experience in or knowledge of scripting / programming languages such as Python
- Experience with deploying, configuring, and hardening Network Devices
- Working knowledge of routing & switching concepts and protocols
- Familiarity with network simulation tools and load testing (e.g. CML, GNS3)
- Active DoD TS Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP / PAR). This SAP / PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification
- Familiar with Spine and Leaf architecture
- Familiar with government grade encryption gear such as TACLANES
- Familiar with Agile methodology
- Familiar with version control, GIT experience preferred
- Ability to author and maintain technical installation, configuration, and update documentation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
