Job Title : Journeyman Electrician (FBI HQ)
Job Summary : EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Journeyman Electrician in Washington, DC . Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Under general supervision, perform journeyman-level work in the design, installation, construction, modification, repair and maintenance of electrical apparatuses, equipment and systems.
- Inspect, isolate, troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions using various test instruments.
- Test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.
- Plan the layout and wiring of new or remodeled installations.
- Inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements and compliance with applicable building and safety codes and regulations.
- Inspect related work performed by contractors.
- Estimate cost, time and materials for electrical projects.
- Participate in the maintenance and operations of an electrical shop.
- Clean, maintain and service tools and equipment used in the performance of duties.
Qualifications :
- Requires journeyman or higher electrical license.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
Compensation : $43.81 / hour
Benefits : Health and Welfare Benefits consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
