ATTENDANT - CART RENTAL

Job Title : Cart Rental Agent

Department : Golf Cart Rental #55

Reports To : Bell Captain / Bell Services Manager

FLSA Status : Hourly

Summary :

Provide excellent service to Members and Guests while assisting with rental of road carts and bicycles and performance of minor mechanical duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

In addition to the following duties and responsibilities, other duties may be assigned :

• Provide exceptional service in all interactions.
• Make sure road carts and bicycles are clean and operational for daily rental
• Check carts for damage
• Pick up overdue carts and bikes
• Keep the wash bay, bike rooms, and office clean and presentable
• Handle Member / Guest complaints and requests
• The following will need to be done for the road carts and bikes
• Check headlights and brakes
• Check and water batteries
• Spray locks with WD-40
• Wash carts and bicycles
• Make sure carts and bicycles are lined up daily
• Make sure carts are charged daily
• After carts and bicycles are rented, show Members / Guests how to properly operate
• The following administrative duties will need to be done
• Creating cart reservations
• Confirming cart reservations
• Processing cart and bike charges
• Filing contracts
• Responding to emails
• Responding to voicemails
• Look-up member and guest information

• General resort / private club background are helpful
• Computer skills : Windows, MS Office, Word, Excel
• Able to communicate with people and solve problems with a minimum of delay and outside assistance
• Meet ORC standards of grooming
• Must be able to have a flexible work schedule and be available to work weekends and holidays

Education and / or Experience :

Minimum High school diploma or equivalent required.

Language :

Must be fluent in the English language in order to communicate with members, guests and co-workers and fully understand job assignments.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :

Needs to have current driver's license.

Attendance, Appearance and Conduct :

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ocean Reef Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, associate may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the Club and report deadlines.

Proper grooming is required by all associates and is described in detail in the Associates Handbook. Associates should review this policy and make sure that at all times they present themselves for shifts looking clean, neat and professional.

As a condition of employment, all associates agree to fully comply with Ocean Reef Club rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Club facilities.

Associates who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
