Job Responsibilities

Responsible for end-to-end data integration in the Azure platform, this includes all phases of integration development life cycle, requirements gathering, design, build, test, deploy and maintenance.

Assist in providing ongoing technical support and maintenance of existing integrations.

Develops and operationalizes data pipelines to make data available for consumption (BI, Advanced analytics, Services).

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI / synapse analytics.

Develop complex data models using Power BI and other tools, ensuring efficient data retrieval and analysis.

Optimize data models to improve query performance and report responsiveness.

Write and optimize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas to create custom calculations and aggregations.

Establish and promote best practices and standards for Power BI development, including naming conventions, documentation, and version control.

Works in tandem with business analysts, data architect and data / BI engineers to design data pipelines and recommends ongoing optimization of data storage, data ingestion, data quality and orchestration.

Design and implement complex data models on Azure Synapse Analytics to support data warehousing and big data solutions.

Utilize Azure DevOps for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and agile project management.

Manage and optimize Apache Spark pools for high-performance data processing tasks.

Develop and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines using Python scripting.

Ensure data quality and integrity across all platforms and systems. Purview experience would be preferable.

Designs, develops, and implements ETL / ELT processes using Azure Data Factory, Synapse pipelines, Databricks Notebooks, Event Hub to build integrations from Saas sources such as Service Now, Workday, Dynamics CRM, and Eloqua.

Uses Azure services such as Synapse Analytics, Synapse pipelines, Lakehouse, Fabric, ADLS, Azure Event Hub, and Azure Data Factory to improve and speed up delivery of our data products and services.

Experienced in big data and NoSQL solutions by developing scalable data processing platforms to drive high-value insights to the organization.

Identifies, designs, and implements internal process improvements (automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery).

Identifies ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality of data management.

Communicates technical concepts to non-technical audiences both in written and verbal form.

Manage and provide leadership for the resources supporting the break / fix efforts for data Integrations.

Act as primary point of contact to monitor and triage Datawarehouse related IT issues.

Strong collaboration and communication skills including the ability to bring together various teams and resources to deliver results.

Requirements

BA / BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent software / services work experience.

Minimum 5 years’ experience engineering and operationalizing data pipelines with large and complex datasets.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in data engineering with a proven track record in the Azure ecosystem.

Minimum 5 years’ experience with Data Modeling, ETL, and Data Warehousing

Minimum 3 years’ hands on experience with Azure Services. Azure certifications preferred.

Minimum 3 years’ experience working with Cloud technologies such as Synapse pipelines, Azure Data Factory (ADF), ADLS, Azure Databricks, Spark, Azure Synapse, and other modern data ETL / ELT technologies.

Proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX and Power BI Service

Experience with other technologies such as Boomi, Workday, Alteryx, Power Platform and Informatica.

Extensive experience working with various data sources (SQL, Oracle database, flat files (csv, delimited), Web API, XML.

Advanced SQL skills required. Solid understanding of relational databases and business data; ability to write complex SQL queries against a variety of data sources.

Experience delivering data solutions through agile software development methodologies.

Strong understanding of database storage concepts (data lake, relational databases, NoSQL, Graph, data warehousing).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Able to work in a fast-paced agile development environment.

Ability to work onsite, as a hybrid employee to any one of the Armanino offices.

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. Compensation Range for this position : $168,000-$250,000 annually.

Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
