About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Business Officer (CBO) to lead strategic partnerships for breakthrough cell and gene therapies.

The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a passion for driving innovation in this field, and will be responsible for leveraging their deep industry knowledge, exceptional negotiation skills, and relationship-building expertise to secure collaborations that accelerate the development and commercialization of transformative therapies.

Key responsibilities for the CBO include developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy, leading negotiations for strategic partnerships, and managing relationships with key decision-makers.

The role also involves staying abreast of industry trends, conducting deal due diligence, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Candidates for the CBO position at the company should have a Master's or above in a life science or related field, with a minimum of 15 years' experience in a business development-focused role or as a CBO.

A proven track record in business development and strategic partnerships, particularly in the context of cell and gene therapies, is essential.

The role requires strong skills in deal structuring, negotiation, and risk management, as well as excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.

The ideal candidate will have a collaborative, results-oriented leadership style and a passion for building high-performing teams.

Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, and a background in a financial or consulting organization, is highly valued.
